Danny is finally able to take a break and finds himself and his young daughter staying with friends. He must start a life for them after a disastrous marriage and what seems to be the end of his singing career with Hudson Hart. The only thing in his sights is that future for them, until he meets Rachel and his heart makes room for another.
Rachel has things that she does not want others to know. Secrets that keep her hiding behind a mask and dating loser after loser. When she sees Danny and his daughter things begin to change; however, is she strong enough to share her past and open her heart to true love?
Both Danny and Rachel are broken and battered from pasts that almost destroyed them, but they both have found a glimpse of love. Can each come to terms with the past in order to love again?
Love & Hope is a great story. It is part of a series that each book can be read alone but this reviewer prefers to read them in order. Sadly, I have yet to read the others in the Standford Creek Series but I am working on that! Background characters and backstories are what help move this story along without feeling lost. Danny and Rachel’s journey is both sad and heartwarming; going through bad in order to get to the prize is what life is all about.
