Following my early retirement from a Fortune 500 company, I decided to use my newly found free time to flush out a story that had been floating around in my mind for years. I soon realized however, that as focused as I was on getting my story to the masses, giving life to a set of characters is much harder than the act of conjuring up a story line. Then my world tilted when I learned that I had breast cancer. So, much like the protagonist in my story who learns life is too short not to do what makes her heart sing, following my second recovery, I became more determined than ever to get my book off my computer and into the hands of others. Now as a grateful five-year cancer free survivor, I’m proud and happy to say that with the January 2022 release of A Distant Light, my long-held dream has become reality.
