Julianna is a librarian and an aspiring journalist with a mystery on her hands. She has no idea where she comes from. Dropped off on the front steps of a church as a baby, she is an orphan. Because of this, she wants to find the man of her dreams and have a big family.
Diesel is many things; an alien, the Fearless Leader, and just a down home boy that wants to keep living on Earth.
When Julianna gets the assignment of a lifetime; to prove aliens exist and are living in Alienne, Arkansas, she thinks she has hit the jackpot. If she can prove aliens really are living in Alienne, or at the very least come up with a plausible story as to why people think that, she will make a enough money to go back to the Pacific Northwest where she was abandoned as a baby. And If she is lucky track down her past. However, she does not count on meeting the very sexy Diesel who she falls for in a matter of minutes before she sees something she should not and gets her memory zapped by Diesel’s brother. And it will not be the first time. Eventually, after a rocky start Diesel and Julianna start dating. Each begins to fall more and more deeply in love, but Julianna is not the only one in love with Diesel; she has a rival, another alien that works for Diesel. When her rival puts her plan into play, will she chase off Julianna for good, or will Julianna realize that Diesel is worth fighting for and maybe what she saw was not what she thought it was? Finally, will Julianna prove there really are aliens, and if so what will she do with the knowledge?
I have to say, I loved You’ve Got Aliens! It has just the right amount of romance, tom foolery, and science fiction to keep any reader happy. The world building is solid, and while this is a sweet romance, the author did a beautiful job of showing the love between Julianna and Diesel without any open bedroom doors. The emotions are clear and succinct and I could not stop cheering for Julianna and Diesel. If you love science fiction romance with a touch of comedy, you simply do not want to miss You’ve Got Aliens, it is a keeper, I for one cannot wait to read more from Ms. Roarke!
