Our next guest is the very cool JM Stewart. JM writes sexy contemporary romances reminiscent of those fabulous Harlequin contemporaries we know and love so well. JM is a new-to-me author, and one who is now on my TBR list! So many books, so little time!! Say hello to JM Stewart and get a peek at her fabulous books.
I love this time of year. Christmas still manages to make me feel like a kid.
Every year millions of children snuggle in at home on Christmas Eve, in their pajamas, waiting for signs of Santa. I remember constantly looking out the window. Every knock against the roof was potential reindeer hooves. I easily envisioned what his laughter would sound like, his deep belly, HO HO HO. Of course, I always went to bed early, because you know, Santa won’t come if you’re awake. I’d always get up in the middle of the night to see if he’d come yet. Several times. Because of course I couldn’t sleep. The only time you really want to go to bed, you can’t sleep. lol
Back then, in ancient times, you know, all we had was our imagination. Kids would sit around wondering how in the world Santa managed to make it all around the world in a single night. The older you get, of course, the more the theories grow. When you were little, the answer was simple: magic. That in and of itself made Christmas magical. Nowadays, we have radar that tracks his movements. This, I personally think is really cool. We now have special mailboxes where kids can send their letters to Santa. You can even send him an email.
I thoroughly enjoyed Christmas with my two boys. We always wrapped presents at the last minute, at two in the morning, after the boys finally went to bed and my oldest stopped making excuses to get up. We always had the same discussions about how Santa managed his magical night. On Christmas morning I was always the first one up. I couldn’t wait to pounce on the boys. lol
My kids are older now. My youngest now knows that Santa is just mom and Dad. My husband, tired of wrapping presents at two in the morning, finally caved and told him. I remember distinctly the night I found out Santa wasn’t real. I was asleep in my bedroom, which just happened to be right off the living room. I could open my door and peek out, to see if he’d come. One night, I got up, excited, and peeked. Only to find my mom and my stepdad putting the presents under the tree. I don’t recall being very crushed. After all, I still got the loot. 😉
But you know, I still believe in Santa. I believe he’s the magic in Christmas. We get together with family we haven’t seen in a while. We give each other gifts and celebrate being together. We give more than we do most of the time. We do things we know we should really do all year long. Like go to church. Or give to food drives. It’s a reminder to cherish what we have.
So, this Christmas Eve, you can bet I’ll be watching TV and watching the Santa radar. I won’t be up at midnight, but you bet I’ll be bouncing on the couch like a little kid come Christmas morning.

I’ll be giving away a PDF copy of one of my current novels, either The Playboy’s Baby, or an ARC copy of A Second Chance at Forever. Since it’s Christmas, I’ve decided it’s winner’s choice. So leave a comment for a chance to win, and tell me some of your favorite memories of watching for Santa.
Wishing a very Merry Christmas to everyone and your families. May the joy and love of the season find you.
