The #pandemiclife has gotten old for all of us. With Spring on its way, everyone is aching for being in the Great Wide Open, or at least, the Great Wide Not My Living Room.
Until then, historical fiction has got you covered. Want to go to Spain? How about New Orleans? A little Time Travel thrown in? Sure, why not?
I’m a part of a historical fiction author’s collective–it’s a way for writers like us, who are passionate about history and love a good yarn to come together and pool our resources. Sort of like carpooling, but for reading. We have a free offering up in our store right now, just the first chapter of our original founding members’ books and works-in-progress. It’s an easy download, and available for any e-reader. We ask for your email address because we’re nosy and curious, not because we are going to do anything with it. In April, we should have another volume with our new members’ work in it too! (in other words, more free stuff).
Come by and check out our free First Chapters Collection at: www.paperlanterwriters.com/store
You can also sign up for my newsletter for a free download of the first chapter of my next book, A Lady’s Finder, a queer historical romance set in Regency London, starring Lady Lydia’s younger sister, Lady Agnes. Lady Agnes is an expert embroiderer, a consummate wallflower, and a connoisseur of men’s work boots.
Edie Cay writes relatable misfits in Regency London. Her award-winning steamy historical romances include A Lady’s Revenge and The Boxer and the Blacksmith. Find her at:
