Nahla Gregory is a witch on the run from a bad domestic situation. Tomas Castillo, a warlock, has a prepared safe haven for her, while dealing with his own problem, his neutered magickal powers. He’s sworn to protect her and to keep his hands off her, but Nahla is downright tempting. Danger is coming for them and combining their powers may be the only way to survive the storm.

I really enjoyed Nahla and Tomas’ story. Her tumultuous past and his magical issues make for an interesting and exciting plot. I really felt for Nahla, her situation was really dire, and it took a great deal of courage for her to escape. The characters were beautifully written and very realistic. The author created a world that I would be very interested in visiting again. This is definitely the start of a very good series.
