Daphne Douglas moved to Texas from Michigan because she was bored. Convinced that being in the land of hot cowboys was the best cure ever, she is disappointed to find herself surrounded by skinny, blonde, ex-cheerleader types, and apparently at least so far, her round curves do not appear to appeal as much to the cowboys she adores. That is the only reason she can figure out that she does not have a date on Friday night.
Gideon Black and Zane McCann are army rangers now turned cowboys who also work for DIG Security. They have shared women before, but have not found a woman that they both want to spend their lives with together.
When Daphne overhears two men, one whose voice she recognizes, at her company talking about selling the company’s government secrets, she calls her friend Madge who contacts her husband, Henry Black, Director of Wolcott Wade Black Inc, and he in turn asks her to come in and tell him her story. Once he has heard her story, he calls his nephew Gideon. Both he and Zane arrive at his uncle’s to hear Daphne’s story and agree to protect her. Their idea of protection is taking her to their ranch where they can keep her very close. Both Gideon and Zane are instantly attracted to Daphne, but Gideon is reluctant to give his heart. Zane feels differently, he knows he wants Daphne forever, especially after they have their first threesome. Daphne finds her heart engaged with both cowboys almost from the beginning, but while Gideon has no problem coming on board for the “fun,” he does not seem willing to let his emotional guard down. Then danger comes calling, and when Gideon cannot find the right words, will they lose Daphne forever?
I truly enjoyed reading Overtime Under Two Cowboys by Ms. Kenney. The love scenes are eyebrow scorching, and the emotions very real, though Gideon does his best to keep his own under wraps. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what what was going to happen next. All in all this story is well worth reading and I am more than happy to recommend it to all romance readers!
