Host, Tarah Scott:
I’m pleased to say that Melissa Alvarez is a good friend of mine. Melissa is an internationally known spiritual intuitive coach and an award-winning author of metaphysical nonfiction and paranormal romantic suspense. And she’s a very cool person! Her fiction and nonfiction are written with an intimate warmth that makes the reader feel as though the author is sitting in the room reading the book to them. Now be sure to read Melissa's post very carefully. She's giving away books as well as two clairvoyant readings. but keep an eye out during Santa Watch for my surprise giveaway of her latest nonfiction release.
Please welcome the amazing Melissa Alvarez!
Are you watching for Santa today? If you’re here participating in Santa Watch, then I know you’re in a festive holiday mood! Thanks for attending!
It’s been a while since I’ve been able to participate in events like this – about a year and a half now – because I’ve been writing, writing and writing some more. I’m officially celebrating the release of my first nonfiction book with Llewellyn Worldwide titled 365 Ways to Raise Your Frequency. And guess what? I’ve handed in a second book about psychic abilities that they will publish around this time next year. See, I have been busy!
But that’s not all I’ve been doing. If you like the paranormal, and want to read some true paranormal experiences, then check out my latest ebook titled, Ghosts, A Past Life & Spirit Guide. It’s a steal at only 0.99!
To celebrate the release of this title, I’m going to give away a one question psychic reading to someone who comments with the word “ghosties” today. How creative can you be in using that word in your comment? The reading will be delivered sometime between December 26 and December 31st and I’ll email the winner instructions on how to submit their questions via my psychic reading website at http://APsychicHaven.com.
Hey – wait a minute! None of this is romance though! Don’t worry – I’ve got that covered too. I’ve also written a brand new short story in the Talgorian Prophecies series titled, Talgorian Dragon.
Or you can check out my re-released paranormal romantic suspense Christmas novella, Paradise Designs.
Whew…let me catch my breath for a second. So….how’s your day? Are you ready for Christmas tomorrow? Or if you don’t celebrate Christmas – do you have plans to just relax or are you going to do something fun? I’d love to hear everyone’s plans for tomorrow. To entice you to talk, I’m going to give away an ebook copy of both Talgorian Dragon and Talgorian Prophecy to one person who posts their plans for the day.
Since Christmas is a day of giving, I decided to give away one more thing. To the person who can tell me what they like most and what they like least about my newly redesigned website at http://MelissaA.com, I will give them a mini past life reading. This is a reading where I look into one past life for you. This reading will also be delivered between December 26 – 31st and I’ll send instructions via email.
So, just to go over the prizes again, by posting a comment you can win one of the following:
One winner will receive a one question psychic reading by using the word “ghosties” in your comment. One winner will receive both Talgorian Dragon and Talgorian Prophecy in ebook format by telling me their plans for tomorrow. And one winner will receive a mini past life reading by giving me input on what works and what doesn’t work on my newly redesigned website.
Thanks to Tarah Scott for inviting me here today and to Coffee Time Romance for putting on the event! It’s great to be back after a long absence and I hope to see all of you on the loops and in other exciting venues like this.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Smiles,
Melissa Alvarez

13 years agoI love reading about ghosties, but I think I would drop dead of a heart attack if I ever came across one in person!!!
My plans for tomorrow include sleeping in at my parents house, getting up to open stocking gifts with the family, eating out yummy Christmas breakfast of souffle and bacon, then opening up presents under the tree. The afternoon is then spent "playing" with said presents ( I myself am seriously hoping for a kindle fire! *fingers crossed*), showering, then getting dressed for dinner with family friends. After dinner is relaxing, drinking wine, and praying my dad does not continue his family tradition of slides or old family home videos………
While I have never visited your website before today Melissa, I do rather enjoy the layout of it! Everything seems fairly easy to fine and I feel that I should not have a problem using it as I am sure I will in the coming months as I just acquired a copy of your book 365 ways to raise your frequency and I can't wait to read it! Im very excited about it!
Missy
13 years agoNot much relaxing here tommorrow, until the afternoon. We'll start the day with the kids opening gifts. Then we'll make cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Start making appetizers to bring over to my Dads house. Many of my family will be at my Dads, we'll do some gifts, eat some appetizers, watch a little football, maybe play a little cards. This is my favorite part of Christmas, because we finally get to relax!!

13 years ago AUTHORCinammon rolls for breakfast. Missy, I'm coming to your house!
You all will love Melissa. She's fabulous and and a real hoot. Uncanny is the word I'd use to descibe her. heh heh.

13 years agoThank you for that fantastic introduction Tarah! I'm very happy that you are a good friend of mine. For those who don't know – I first met Tarah when I owned New Age Dimensions and published one of her books.
Hey Michelle – yeah, it's pretty shocking especially the first time it happens! It sounds like you have a lovely day planned! Here's hoping you get a Kindle Fire too! Thanks for visiting my site and giving your feedback for the contest! Wow – thanks for getting a copy of 365 Ways to Raise Your Frequency! I hope you enjoy the exercises and reading it. Have a wonderful day!
Hey Missy – yum….I love cinnamon rolls – I'm actually drinking cinnamon roll flavored coffee right now. What a great day you've got planned with family! I hope you have a lot of fun with those near and dear to you.
MelissaAlvarez
13 years agoI know, I agree – Party at Missy's house!
LOL Uncanny eh? I know what you mean though. So, let me just tell everyone else – LOL It's because, quite often, Tarah will be thinking of asking me something or telling me something and I'll choose that time to call her. What can I say, it's the psychic thing….
Thanks Tarah!

13 years ago AUTHORCinnamon roll flavored coffee. That's some good stuff!
MelissaAlvarez
13 years agowell, that didn't work! So, how can you skip a line here? Or does it just run together all the time?
Or is it two hard returns?
MelissaAlvarez
13 years agoIt's two hard returns. LOL
Tarah Scott
13 years ago AUTHORHeh heh. Right, Melissa. She's call and start answering my question before I've even asked, or call and say, what was that you were asking me–and I hadn't asked anything…out loud. It was unnerving at first, but I've gotten used to it. Sort of. HA!
MelissaAlvarez
13 years agoLOL See what happens when you have intuitive friends? Glad it isn't unnerving anymore! I'm gonna run downstairs and mix up the flan and get it in the oven. I'll be back in a few!

13 years agoHi, ladies!
Ghosties are greaties!! I love my paranormal books, shows, etc! Can't get enough!
Tomorrow shouldn't be TOO stressful, since 85% of Christmas has been covered/done by me and the kids. Finances tight this year so I took my 3 pre/young teens to mall and gave them the bit I could spare to buy their own 'lovelies'. Probably gonna have movie night tonight and sleep in tomorrow, then up and over to my sisters place for dinner and back for game night here at home.
Melissa, your site looks very intriguing! I just briefly popped around, but many things caught my eye and I booked marked it for many returns *winks* Lots of things I wanna get in there and check out more fully.

13 years agoJust checked out Talgorian Dragon. It is now on my TBR list on my iPad. And speaking of ghosts. At my nephew's house last night–the house I grew up in–we were talking about visits from my parents' spirits. And my mom definitely comes to visit me in my house during the summer. That's my little ghostly encounter.

13 years agoHey Theresa – that's fantastic that you've already gotten so much done. Isn't game night fun? We're having one tomorrow night too. Thanks for checking out my site and bookmarking it!
Thanks Tarah! I just redesigned the site from a static html site to a wordpress blog website. So I'm still working on getting it all fleshed out. I've got sections for everything I do on there – from energy work and frequency, the paranormal, publishing and writing, to Friesian horses and German Shepherd dogs. I'm scheduling guest bloggers right now so if anyone wants to blog and have me guest blog on their site too, just send me an email!
MelissaAlvarez
13 years agoHey Judi – Thanks so much for checking out Talgorian Dragon! It's a short story prequel to Talgorian Prophecy – I hope you enjoy it! That's so cool that your Mom comes to visit you. It's her way to let you know that she's stopping by to say hi. This made me smile. Thanks for sharing!
MelissaAlvarez
13 years agoHey Desiree – thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment about the covers because I'm the one who designed all of them (with the exception of 365 Ways to Raise Your Frequency which was designed in house at Llewellyn Worldwide). I also designed Tarah's book covers for The Pendulum, which she already posted about, and several other covers that you'll probably see during Santa Watch later in the day.

13 years agoThe famous Charles Dickens story The Christmas Carol is perfect for today and it has plenty of ghosties to remaind one why it is better to give than receive.
I have to be up about 9am which is early for me to go down to celebrate Christmas with my brother's family. After dinner and opening presents I have to go to work.
The front page of the website is very busy and makes my computer stutter. While you have lots of info to impart I think tabs work better then a whole lot of links on the first page.

13 years agoMerry Christmas! First let me say that your little ghosties have been haunting me all through out the night reminding me of this Santa Watch today – LOL The ghosties picking at my brain had me up ever hour on the hour checking the time – LOL
Both Talgorian Dragon and Talgorian Prophecy look so good.

13 years agoI am quite scared of ghosties! But the idea of a past life reading is phenomenal. I would love to know where I have been in my past life. I think a reading would totally rock my world! Off to visit your website.
MelissaAlvarez
13 years agoHey Lindsey – I agree about the story. I hope you have fun at your brothers! Thanks for the input on the design – I'll look into a theme template that uses tabs too. Out of curiosity – are you on dialup?
Thank you Ronda! Those little ghosties should have let you get more sleep!
MelissaAlvarez
13 years agoThanks Tarah! You know I'm a fan of your writing too!
MelissaAlvarez
13 years agoThanks Zee! I always love doing the past life readings because I never know what is going to come up. What's more cool then doing them though is when someone writes back and was able to confirm something I saw for them. Now that even blows my mind and I've been doing this for a very long time.

13 years agoGreat to "meet" you Melissa/Ariana! No big plans today, thankfully–must go grocery shopping for food for the Christmas celebrating tomorrow, and finalize gifts for under the tree, but otherwise we're all going to do a big of lazing about 😉
MelissaAlvarez
13 years agoHey Fedora – it's great to "meet" you too! That sounds like a fantastic plan to me!
Joder
13 years agoI had some oatsies for breakfast, but since I might be on the naughty list there's no Santa for me just ghosties.
My plans tomorrow are for nothing. My family is having financial problems and can't afford much holiday food or gifts, so we're just opting out of Christmas this year. So I'll be watching A Christmas Story over and over.

I'm sorry to hear about your financial problems. It's a hard year for sure. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that your family is filled with the wonder and love of the holiday season and the joy of being together. Big hugs!

13 years agoWow thats a lot of prizes 😉 Well I hope the ghostie spirits don't come out to celebrate Christmas tonight. Today is buying I have lunch with my parents and brothers family soon. My kids are going with their dad to visit after that. Then back home. So not too bad. Wow I really like your website. It is very organized and looks great! I love the strip in the front. I can't think of anything you can add. christina_92 at yahoo.com

13 years agoLike Missy, we'll start our day with cinnamon buns for breakfast! Then it's time for presents, and then frantically trying to clean up around the tree before the grandparenst arrive. When they do there'll be more presents, and then we'll sit down for the lasagna I made yesterday – because lasagna must age properly to really be "ready." We'll have it with salad, of course – red and green. My daughters' boyfriends will join us because, both being Latin, they'll have celebrated with their families tonight. Once we're all suitably stuffed it's time to just relax…which continues the next day, which I have dubbed Pajama Day. Since the holiday run-around is over, it's a day to lounge around, eat chocolate, drink mimosas, watch favorite old movies and enjoy the presents we got the day before.
Merry Christmas, Melissa! Congrats on all your achievements!

13 years agoMelissa, you are one amazing gal! I don't know how you have the time to do everything you do! Tomorrow is my Birthday! Which I am planning to forget! LOL! We decided to have a quiet day since relatives are so far away. After cooking and cleaning up, I'm gonna sit back and read. My favorite passtime. Looking forward to your new books with excitement. Am looking forward to your Prophecy series and I wishyou many, many, sales! You have a heart of gold Melissa and you deserve nothing but the best in your exciting career. I can't wait to see the horses! People think I'm crazy, but the scent of horses is like perfume to me! Merry Christmas my friend. You have so much heart…

13 years agoAnonymous – come back and tell me who you are! I want you to be entered in the contest but we need a name in case you win! This sounds like a really fun day. My husband's family is Cuban so we're celebrating tonight with them and then celebrating tomorrow with our immediate family. That's why I cooked Flan! But I also made the kids cookies and a brown sugar pie like my grandma used to make – just because I like it! The lasagna sounds really yummy! I like the term "Pajama Day" that's really cool! And thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words!
JoAnne – I hope you're able to sneak in a few minutes for yourself today!
Aw…. Thank you so much for your kind words, Mary! Well, I just shuffle! LOL Zip around like a busy little bee. That sounds like a great plan. I'd love to just sit back and relax and I actually plan on doing a little bit of it tomorrow too! Thanks! I hope you enjoy them – it was great that they released the 365 Ways To Raise Your Frequency early! Well, come on over lady! I'm only ten minutes away and they horses are just waiting to be petted by you! I love the way they smell too – but people don't love the way I smell after working with them all day. LOL Merry Christmas to you too!

13 years agoHi Melissa,
And Merry Christmas, Happy Solstice. I'm just going to go over to a friends house to eat. My son and his soon to be family celebrated our Christmas last night with my parents. His fiance and her family live two hours away and I live an hour from my parents. So we decided to to our dinner last night so Meredith my daughter in law could help her parents on Christmas day. Meredith comes from a very big family so she helps with the cooking at her parents house.
Once I'm done at friends house will probably come home take a nap and read Christmas day away. Just me and the dogs. If it's not too cold tomm. I might take my horse out for a ride.
Oh I went to your website. It is very well organzised so if a person is looking for a specific item or information they can find it easy.
