Introduction to my Magi

Comment on this post to win a print copy of Magi Passion!

No, Magi aren't just for Christmas. My Passion Magic series involves the tribe of Magi, the race that gave birth to the very world "magic". Scattered by a threatened massacre, they've been hiding for a thousand years. Each man must leave home and find the woman who carries the magic to make him whole. So far there are four published books in the Passion Magic series, with another being written right now!

Tell me when and where you think one of my Magi men should search for his ashavi!

Enchant the Dawn is the tale of Daron West, a Magi raised among gypsies and building a new tribe in 1920's NYC and his jaded lover, Sophia Hunter.

Blurb: ew York tough with a backbone from the backwoods, Sophia Hunter is a properly cynical flapper, swigging down the bathtub gin and dancing from dusk 'til dawn. She doesn't have any use for love.

But a whimsy to walk through Central Park on a cold spring morning changes her life completely. There she meets Daron West and his ragtag family, greeting the dawn on the first day of spring. Daron is a Magi, raised amongst gypsies and on a search for his life mate, the powerful woman with whom he is paired by destiny.

When their eyes meet a lifetime of memories is unleashed, along with enough heated lust to melt half the snow in New York City. Will Sophia succumb to her calling and embrace the powers that she's shunned for so long? Daron will have to break through her inhibitions and his own in order to become one with the power they share.

Reveal the Heart is set in wartime Washington DC, 1942, where a man with no name and no voice finds the woman who can understand him completely.

Blurb:

WashingtonD.C.in 1942 is the center of the American war effort. Hester Lowbridge, a codebreaker for the military, uses her miraculous talent for languages to do her part. She has been asked to try to communicate with a mysterious man who can’t speak a word of English, or any other known language. She doesn’t expect to meet the love of her life.

Jack is desperate to find a way to communicate. How can he convince the sexiest woman he’s ever met how much they need each other when he can’t speak? Why, seduce her of course! His touch inflames Hester and scorching semi-public sex results whenever—and wherever— they meet.

Command the Wind pits a English sailor in the service of Queen Elizabeth and her devilish Drake to win the heart of a sea witch who is convinced that she bears a curse and can never be happy. Together, their powers may help win England's freedom.

Blurb:

1588 was a dangerous time, even on the peaceful Isle of Wight. Cora Searle was in more danger than most. Not only was the Spanish Armada coming to conquer England, but Cora had hidden powers that could condemn her as a witch. She lives with her curse—a life of loneliness.

Cora’s overwhelmed with erotic urges after spotting a ship far out to sea. A dark sailor haunts her dreams, bringing her ecstasy over and over again and driving her mad with pleasure.

Marcus Mares, who has the gift of farsight, sees her from that ship and makes his way to her. Marcus teaches her to embrace her passionate talent, gifting her with endless sexual bliss. Their intensely erotic sex may even create passion magic strong enough to save England from the coming storm.

Foretell the Flame finds Cassandra a prisoner of a cruel husband and her tortured gift of clairvoyance. Her only salvation is her visions of a future with a Sinti stranger who treats her like she is his everything.

Blurb:

A prisoner of her greedy husband and clairvoyant visions, Contessa Cassandra di Lucana dreams of her gypsy lover. His kisses, his hands, his cock inside her. He teaches her everything she’s never known about love and ignites passions hot enough to burn. He keeps her sane when death seems the only escape.

Tash Pourtales is impatient for his mate, his ashavi, to find him. Dreams of making love to her are not enough—he needs to worship her. Within moments of meeting, their need drives them together and their fiery completion seals their bond. Husbands, French generals and family prejudice be damned.

I haven't run into this series before, but it sounds intriguing.  I love the Medieval time period, would that be a good setting for one of this series?

Thanks Diane! I plan on setting a book in medieval Italy, just before the Renaissance, in a town full of musicians and instrument makers, so that’s definitely on the list. Thanks for commenting!

    Hi Elaine!
Sounds like a great series!  Adding it to my TBR pile.  I would say maybe a highland magi would be a great.  I'm a sucker a man in a kilt.  🙂
    thanks

I do love kilts, and what may or may not be under them! In fact, I’m heading to my local Highland Games on Labor Day – great place to get some inspiration.

I am about halfway through with another Magi book set in Hawaii on the Parker Ranch in 1888. Parker Ranch was once the largest cattle ranch in the United States, taking up a huge percentage of the Big Island of Hawaii. I couldn’t resist the idea of cowboys in paradise!

Perhaps he might find his magi in the intriguing state of Alaska…where there are long summers and winters,  wonderful nature,  few means of transportation…just in short, a most unusual place.

How about someplace like Portland, Oregon with their Shanghi tunnels? Not sure when. Back when the tunnels were active or current day??
All of the books in the Passion Magic sound like really good reads!  Thanks for the chance to win Magi Passion.

I would love to spent more time (writing-wise and in real life!) in Portland. I’m working on an urban fantasy set there right now, but they don’t get out of the secret compound much as the hero is a vampire…next book, more time outside!
