Jacinda Bourne is one of the three sisters who own the Bourne Matrimonial Agency. Her natural curiosity is both an asset to the agency when she investigates potential matches, and a curse to herself because it often lands her in trouble.
Crispin, Duke of Rydstrom is handsome, noble and broke. He needs to marry an heiress to maintain the family castle and collect a handsome wedding gift from his aunt.
Jacinda is tasked with finding a bride for the Duke of Rydstrom. He is not being honest with her and she needs to investigate him thoroughly before presenting him with potential duchesses. Her investigation sends her to his castle, but an accident leaves her unconscious on his beach. She wakes with a case of amnesia, and is forced to remain at the castle with a very handsome duke with a secret.
This is an interesting take on an amnesiac heroine falling in love with a handsome nobleman. Jacinda is not a demure debutante by any means and her curiosity often leads her into trouble. Crispin is looking to buy an heiress with his title and send her on her way, not the sort of match the Bourne Agency wants to promote. He is less than honest and Jacinda is recklessly curious, so we are guaranteed a good story. I enjoyed this story.
