Gemma Hewitt is a jewelry designer for whom the stones and jewelry speak. Unlike most jewelry designers, Gemma can actually tell the story of the stones/jewlery because the stones themselves actually show her their stories. She uses these stories to design her jewelry, as well as research and find other historic pieces that will inspire her designs.
Raj Sinclair is a famous photographer on a personal mission. He has in his possession both a personal diary from a British man who was a doctor in the early 1900’s in India, and a piece of jewelry, the jewelry and the diary speak to him in ways he cannot quite explain. The piece of jewelry he has is part of an Indian bridal suite, and he wants to bring the entire collection together.
When Gemma’s mother is brutally murdered, she receives the family jeweled collar that her mother loved so much as part of her inheritance. Gemma hopes the collar will show her who murdered her mother, but instead it takes her back in time to see the life of an Indian royal woman in the early 1900’s. Gemma is not sure what is going on, but a series of events lead her to conclude that she must bring together the entire bridal suite which was said to be designed and created by a man that imbued the pieces with magic. When Raj and Gemma meet at one of her father’s real estate properties that is for sale, the connection is strong and immediate but neither knows exactly why, and both are afraid to trust it. Gemma wants to trust Raj, but he is just as interested in the bridal suite as she is and she does not know whether she can rely on him. She feels she must be the one to bring the suite back together in the hopes that somehow doing so will lead her to her mother’s killer. As more strange things happen, including Gemma being attacked on the street and saved by Raj, the two decide to band together. Can they figure out the importance of the bridal suite, as well as discover the story of the past that is somehow connected to both of them, their families, and the bridal suite?
I absolutely LOVED Eye of the Tiger by Ms. Rosemoor! This book has everything – suspense, romance, reincarnation, murder, you name it, it is there. The dance between Raj, Gemma, and the person who kills for the jewels, is so well written that you cannot put this story down until you have read the very end. This book had me on the edge of my seat and I stayed up very late to finish reading it! This was one book I was sorry to see end and I know I will be looking for more books by Ms. Rosemoor very soon! If you love reincarnation romance, if you enjoy the paranormal and suspense mixed in with your romance then you do not want to miss Eye of the Tiger, it is a keeper!
