I did a fast search on my late friend, Jan Minter, and found some of her books at Whskey Creek but not the one I was thinking of. (She has two regular and two in the Torrid line there) She also had an erotic short with a similar setting at Amber Quill in the Amber Heat line but I guess the longer one with archeologists and neat plot twists was never published. Time was in the title but it escapes me at the moment. I think she passed away before she was able to finish the edits etc. I know she did have a cover at one time. Shucky darn. There is another Jan Minter who is in England and takes lots of pictures according to Google!

I’m sad about that book not getting out there; I really liked it! I guess the royalties for her work are going to her granddaughters now. Well, we have lost a lot of good authors, both really famous and not so much in the last couple of years. Miss them all. Cried when I heard Tony Hilerman had died but I understand his daughter is going to continue the Jim Chee and Joe Leephorn series. I hope she can do them justice!! That is like Anne McCaffery’s son is doing more of her dragon tales but I have not quite willed myself to read one yet; I loved her work so much. Some authors reallly ought to stick around forever for us!!

Another Amber Quill author who has done some Aztec/Maya tales is Cathrine Snodgrass aka Caitlyn Willows. Recommend her work too.
