St. Nicked by Damon SuedeSt. Nicked: There`s no gift like the present.
Holidays this fun can’t be legal. When a cat burglar dressed as Santa targets a glitzy Manhattan high-rise, the holidays get unhinged.
As superintendent, Mark Almeida needs to keep the residents safe, and as a former NYPD cop, he knows he can crack the case without any help… until he meets a suave stranger too handsome for his own good who pushes buttons Mark didn’t know he had.
As the holly-jolly crime spree unfolds, Mark wrestles with duty and desire while juggling festive clues, lavish gifts, and stolen kisses in time for a truly crooked Christmas.
St. Nicked, the newest contemporary romance from Damon Suede, combines the tension of a mystery with feel-good romance in a way only Damon can deliver.

Meet the Author
Damon Suede… between soft and rough
Damon Suede grew up out-n-proud deep in the anus of right-wing America, and escaped as soon as it was legal. He has lived all over: Houston, New York, London, Prague. Along the way, he’s earned his crust as a model, a messenger, a promoter, a programmer, a sculptor, a singer, a stripper, a bookkeeper, a bartender, a techie, a teacher, a director... but writing has ever been his bread and butter. He has been happily partnered for over a decade with the most loving, handsome, shrewd, hilarious, noble man to walk this planet.
Addictions: sweetness that isn’t sentimental, wit that isn’t bitter, strength that isn’t cruel. Allergies: professional victims, half-assery, clichés.
Beyond romance fiction, Damon has been writing for print, stage, and screen for over three decades, which is both more and less glamorous than you might imagine. He`s won some awards, but his blessings are more numerous: his amazing friends, his demented family, his beautiful husband, his loyal fans, and his silly, stern, seductive Muse who keeps whispering in his ear, year after year.

13 years agoCovers are so so important. It has to give me an instant idea of what the story is about and entice me to want to read the back blurb. Like you, I do have my list of author's I;d read even if the cover was plain white with just the title printed. But when I'm looking for soemthing new, yeah, cover art is huge!! I don;t know if I can really explain what makes me liek a cover, but I know it when I see it! I am dfinitely turned off by corny covers, especially in romance. I can't help it!! I tend to like simple I guess…more artistic. Love Aged to perfection and Letting Go!

13 years agoI'll admit that I'm drawn to covers as well. Visual interest in color and style. I don't like cartoonish covers, but that's just me. Doesn't matter if it's just the hero or heroine or both on the cover. I think it's color that catches my eye most. Your cover for Letting Go caught my eye immediately, but so did Too Hot, for obvious reasons. 🙂

13 years agoI think the covers that draw me aren't the ones with couples embracing, but the ones with characters just looking very pensive and intense. I really like the Longing for Kayla cover!

13 years agoLike you, I have a list of autobuy authors. I also check out books that those authors recommend and those other readers talk about on various blogs. As for covers, colors attract my eye. Sexy covers are great, but they don't influence my purchase.

13 years agoYou have beautiful covers. They are so important in selling a book, and it's a great day when the cover artist "gets it." A good one will nail your characters and the tone of your book and entice a reader from browsing to buying.

13 years agoHi, Lauren! Great line up! I have to admit that while a cover may make me pick up a book, it won't necessarily make me buy it. The excerpt and blurb have to work for me, too! But a great cover is a real treat–one that gives me a feel for the story and its characters and that looks good, ah… I can look at some covers all day 😉

13 years agoIt might not always be fair, but I do tend to look at the cover of a book first.
