TO TEMPT A DEMON
Relic Hunters, Book 1
Rating: 4 Cups
Lexi Harrison is an Anthropology PhD candidate who works as a belly dancer in a strip club to pay for her studies. She looks forward to joining her first archaeological expedition after her dissertation is accepted.
Mikos Tyomni is a fallen angel who has seen the error of his ways and is working to get back into Heaven. Lexi is his ticket home.
When Lexi is summoned unexpectedly to her professor’s office, she does not expect that her life is about to change. Lexi has a plan for her life that does not include saving the human race. Mikos may be handsome and compelling, but she has no intention of becoming the Defender and has no idea where the so important Key of Solomon might be. Two scary demons also seem to think she knows where the Key is also, and need it to release the ones imprisoned to upset the balance and end mankind. No pressure here.
This book will have you at the edge of your seat from the first page to the last. The sense of urgency to find the Key of Solomon is very much evident throughout the book. The demons are incredibly evil and the Fallen are suitably conflicted; Mikos’ attraction to Lexi is in direct opposition to his aspirations to rejoin the Heavenly Host. The plot is engrossing and exciting with vividly drawn characters and interesting and surprising twists. I loved how the author incorporated biblical characters, angels, demons, and imps among other beings into the story. I look forward to reading Mari and Jackson’s story.
