Anna, also known as Sway, is a fairly successful thief of high-end objects. As an orphan, stealing was her way off the streets, but not without consequences.
Roman Blinov is the son of a Russian “businessman”. He grew up in the lap of luxury, financed by illegal means. He now recovers stolen objects and returns them to their rightful, or most rightful, owners.
Anna has stolen a famous and precious necklace for her erstwhile employer. She found out that he wants to use the proceeds to fund human trafficking and so is trying to find a way not to deliver the item. Roman Blinov has been hired to find the same object and Anna is his way to get the necklace, but first he has to find a way to both get the necklace and keep the girl safe.
This suspenseful tale has some interesting and exotic settings and very well drawn characters. The plot is full of action and intrigue, but can be a bit difficult to follow at times, making it a bit hard to get into the story. I did like the characters and the premise and once I got past the first few chapters, the story really took off and was definitely worth the effort.
