Maui is an excellent alpha character because he has a soft spot just for Casey and her little girl. I appreciate how Harley Wylde always shares characters from other books. It is a sneaky method because I always want to go back and read the previous books.  There is enough alpha men and strong women to satisfy a reader who enjoys their romance with a bit of spice.  I enjoy reading about a world where the characters are willing to level the playing field. If you enjoy alpha men who take care of business then Maui is for you.
