Vlad must trust one he hates to find the one who wishes to take Leila from him. He refuses to let anyone take the love of his life because without her he will become more than the monster books depict him as. Leila wants Vlad to find true happiness and will do anything to make sure that happens; even risk the second life she has been given to see it happen.
I love the writing of Ms. Frost because her stories always invite the reader into her world. Each character, evil or good, offers a piece of the story which would be incomplete without them. I love Vlad, Ian, Leila, and the myriad of characters offer a world no one should miss. Into the Fire is the final chapter in a story which starts with Once Burned and I would recommend for pure enjoyment the reader starts at the beginning to understand how Vlad found the love of his life and how Leila ended up connected to a necromancer. I dare say the past is entertaining to read but is not a requirement to enjoy the final chapter in the love story of Vlad Tepesh.
