Todd tells himself that the delicious baked goods are the reason he spends so much time in his friend Kate’s bakery. Cupcakes are not the only things he finds delicious in the shop. Both of them are leery of love, but Kate is determined to move on with her life and has chosen Todd to help her get rid of her inhibitions, and her virginity.
This is fairly tame for an erotic romance, more romantic than erotic, but a suspenseful plot and attractive, realistic characters make for an enjoyable read. Kate and Todd are an unlikely couple at first, but the reader soon sees that they have much in common and a deep friendship that coupled with attraction, will lead to more than the fling they both claim they want. There is an interesting subplot involving several attacks on the bakery, and a cast of characters that will make you want to read the rest of the series. I really enjoyed this story.
