Rating: 5 Cups
The Harrison family name is well known in the Napa Valley wine industry but Tess; however, wants to make her own way. To reach that goal, Tess must be dedicated and driven, not side-tracked by thoughts of men and relationships.
Even knowing he dodged a bullet, Connor Hawkins still has a hard time thinking about being left at the alter without feeling saddened. He longs to have a family, a place to call home, and a loyal dog…especially the dog.
Although Tess loves watching the weddings at Wirra Station, she knows that life is not for her. Australia is beautiful and her brother’s new bride is like a sister, yet Tess looks forward to being back in California to continue the next phase in her career. Connor is excited to be working with the pioneering organic winemakers in Wirralong, although Tess might have more to do with his feelings than the job. Being with Tess just feels right, and for the first time in a long time Connor is not looking to move on.
Few authors tantalize the senses like Ms. Purman. She makes Wirra Station come alive for her readers, from the sultry heat to the heady perfume of the gum trees, Ms. Purman draws you right in to the lives of her characters. Tess and Connor are inviting and fun, with just enough spice to keep it real. I highly recommend this author to any reader who wants a quick trip to the captivating land down under.
