Martha Cooper is a nurse in a nursing home by day and on the weekends, she is the lead singer for the Cover Stealers. She is a loving and caring woman who avoids serious relationships.
Logan Ashford is a security expert currently working for a divorced billionaire couple. He has a musical background but stayed away from the business.
Logan and his coworker go to a local bar to have dinner and listen to some music. The food is awful, but the music and the lead singer brings Logan to his knees. He wants to get to know Martha much better, but she is leery of relationships, and he hopes to change her mind.
This is a light and entertaining romance. Logan and Martha are pleasant, well written characters and the storyline flows nicely, if a bit slowly at times. If I had to describe this book, sweet would be the term I would use. I liked the supporting characters and their stories, but the author should have made more of Logan’s famous family or left that part out as they really did not add much to the plot, except to explain how Logan knew how to set up a drum set. Other than that, I found this to be a sweet and occasionally funny romance with likeable characters.
