A Tip for Authors

I know it is confusing and I am going to talk to Karenne about it but on the admin page where you create your posts, that block called “Excerpt” is NOT where you put the excerpt of the book. I know, it is really counter-intuitive! But excerpts go in the main section along with the blurb, buy link, cover or whatever else you want to post! I just fixed two so the book excerpt comes up in the right place but have not had time to check them all. If you have done this, don’t be embarrassed as it is really confusing!! But you will need to either copy and paste to get the words in the right place or simply get it again and paste from your original source, okay?

The “excerpt” block on the form is for a very short bit about what you are saying in the main block. (Optional and many do not use at all.) Think of the old speech writing and giving thing, I think it was Toastmasters: tell ’em what you’re going to say, say it and then tell them what you just said! That “excerpt” is telling what you just said, briefly! I will either get this changed or explain in the instructions before next time, promise!
