Victoria Benedict is a biographer who needs a good story to kick-start her career. She selects the world class classical cello musician, Damian Kirk, which is her first mistake. The second is to agree to his quid pro quo interview because she might have to reveal more than she expected.

Damian Kirk has been in hiding since his life crumbled a year ago. He has no desire to reveal his secrets, but he is unable to resist the lure of Victoria.

In a moment, the duo commits themselves to a proposition that just might break down their walls. They are both looking for answers, and together they may get more than they bargained for.

This is an interesting story of just how much people will go through to hide their secrets. Victoria and Damian are authentic representations of the results of the destruction family and lovers are capable of doing. This story is an in-depth look at how important forgiveness is in both the giving and the receiving. The author used vivid description of every aspect of the story from the location to the people. I found the novel intriguing and well worth the read.
