Clarie’s restlessness is making her anxious and edgy, but fall break is here and she is determined to put her discontent behind her. At her boyfriend Patrick’s antique shop, she finds a small, odd metal box that holds a mysterious secret inside and waits to go back to its place of origin. Can they safely return the box to its home realm? Patrick and Clarie are determined to see the box secure and unharmed to its own world but danger awaits them. Will their love survive the disaster waiting for them, or will jealousy and fear tear them apart? They are lured from their Earth world by the steady hiss and mechanics of steam engines where they discover a world very much like Earth but that has taken a different path. The Iron City is in trouble. Can they find the key in time to save that world? Or will disaster destroy them?
