CTR asked:
QUESTION: Of your published titles to date, which hero is your favorite and why?

Ann Everett said:
This is a hard question, because I fall in love with all of my heroes long before my heroine does. I’ll have to split this answer between the leading me in my Bluebird, Texas Romance Series. Rance from the first book, and Ritter from the second.

There are so many things I love about Rance. The way he’s built. Tall and thick chested. God knows I love a big man. Just can’t get turned on by some guy with a butt smaller than one of my thighs!

His bad ass attitude, which is mostly fake because he has a tender heart… for kids, animals, family, and the strange girl he finds living in the house his grandmother left him.

And then there’s Ritter, a total opposite. He’s a local hero with high moral values and a heart of gold. It’s his desire to always do the right thing that gets him into trouble. Before long, he finds himself lying on a regular basis, pretending to be someone else for the sake of helping a stranger.

He’s even tempered and has strong family ties, especially with his mom and younger sister.

Rance is an ex-con. Ritter is a saint. And, I think I’ll always be in love with both of them!

Don’t tell my husband.

True by Ann Everett cover

True (A Bluebird, Texas Romance)

[Contemporary Romance]

Sometimes it takes losing everything…
True Shanahan must be the unluckiest woman in the world. Either that or she’s cursed. After another failed relationship, True leaves Dallas with a broken heart and new attitude. It’s time to walk on the wild side. But when she makes a wrong turn and ends up in Bluebird, Texas, the only man she wants is anything but reckless.

…to find all you’ve ever wanted.
Ritter Malone is the town’s favorite son and has the local hero awards to prove it. Seems he’s always in the right place at the right time. But when he crosses paths with True, his life takes a turn he never sees coming. Her songwriting skills may be questionable, but her ability to turn him inside out is indisputable.

Welcome to Bluebird, Texas.
Where a chance meeting gives two people a chance at love.
