Well it has been a little slow today but being back to school and “regular” work a lot of folks are probably busy and may check in later. Anyway here are a couple of winners:

I rode out a blizzard myself while living in Colorado in 1877–my hubby and I spent 18 hours in our car and another 18 or so at a farmhouse where they finally realized (talking on CBs) we were not far from their front gate! We were trying to get home for the kids from working in town in Colorado Springs and we lived out east at a community called Falcom–much smaller then than it is now! That was pretty scary. A couple of kids died when they got lost crossing a field from their neighbors to home or vice versa. Our kids were okay and we talked to them once we got in the farm house. But that was a fearful time to me; since then I hate to drive in any snow at all!!
