Tell us what you're up to so early this pre-Christmas Eve morning. Me? I'm watching Santa and having hot chocolate. My daughter is having coffee. She's so grown up!
I'm up so early because I'm a night shift nurse who worked Thursday night, spend most of the morning and early afternon at the doctor's office having an iron infusion (yuck!), and then napped for 3 hours, up to eat dinner, attempted to stay awake past 9, but failed, and such I have now been up since 230!!! Thank god for blogs like these to keep me entertained! Of course I have my kindle close by as well!:-)
Just dashing out to get af few things a the grocery store and a nice cup of coffee at Starbucks. Then it's home to finish the wrap job and cooking dinner. Enjoy!
I'm heading out grocery shopping before the crowds hit the roadways…I hope! Both my "boys" are home for a few days, and I anticipate the food disappearing pretty quickly! Then there's the annual fudge to make, another couple batches of Grandma's Christmas Cookies to bake (we've eaten through the first few), wrapping the last of the gifts, Christmas Eve dinner. And then, if I haven't yet fallen face down on my bed in a dead sleep, off to church for the midnight service. 🙂 I truly am blessed with all this to get me up this early. Wishing all a Happy Hanukkah, a joyous Christmas, and a healthy and prosperous 2012!
It is 6:30 a.m. and I am coloring my hair, got to look good for Christmas, right? Hope everyone has a great holiday.
Good morning! I'm always up early, but this morning, I just got some ribs ready to put on the grill. Little rub here, little rub there. It will be interesting to see how they cook, considering its about 15 degrees here, right now. We're taking them to the inlaws tonight and giving some to my Dad to take to with him where he's going for an annual Christmas Eve ribfest. Then tommorrow, after the kids are done opening their gifts, DH and I will start the appetizers to take to my Dads house For Christmas Day! Always a busy time of year! Have a great day:)
Headed to Starbucks then taking the kids to the airport so they can go to Ohio
I am up early because Christmas Eve is my favourite day of the year. I am Ukranian and I want to start making perogies and cabbage rolls so we can have it for Christmas Eve dinner tonight.
This is a tradition I will always keep.
Merry Christmas from me to you.
Up early? Nah…getting 'late' for me! I just got off the grave yard shift *sighs* I plan on keeping the candies and cocoa flowing to give me the stimulation to TRY to hang out through the day with you wonderful people! *smiles*
I just made a huge cup of coffee with Cinnabon flavored creamer – yum…came on here first to see what was going on, then I'm making flan (it's a dessert but takes hours to cook) for later today and will be cooking Christmas Eve dinner.
Oh boy! You are very busy ladies. Family home for the holiday, last minute grocery shopping and coloring hair. ROFL. Welcome to our International friends!
Back now with a cup of espresso in hand (thanks to mykids who gave me a Nespresso machine for my birthday). I'm here to report that I saw Sant–in person–last night. Was I a good girl this year or what??? Actually he came to my nephew's house to visit his kids. Had a fun Christmas Eve eve visit with my bro and his family.
Ohh, you are so lucky, Judi. I want one of those!
i'm up early b/c i'm not feeling well. couldn't sleep last night. not looking good for a happy day if i'm feeling bad.
Oh no, Laci. That's not good at all. You need some rest. Kick back under the covers and make everyong take care of you.
My 12 year old daughter was awake at 6 am! She was on Norad.com doing the game of the day and tracking Santa before I could get dressed to run up to Starbucks. Then we had to go around the house to find all of the elves in their hiding spots! Buddy, the Elf on The Shelf, tepeed our Christmas tree! Yeah, that's going to be a huge mess.
Now, I'll make a big breakfast as we have my brother in law in town from Nashville and maybe try to enjoy the day. 🙂
Thanks and Happy Holidays!
Amy
They're adorable when they're like that, aren't they?
I'm up keeping my niece distracted by playing wor with friends while trying to also distract her sister by becoming the tickle monster. Sigh an aunties job is never done.
We’re closing on our house Wednesday and doing the walk through later this morning. I’m a little nervous about it so I couldn’t sleep. I don’t want anything to hold up the closing. So I’m just reading.
we have our big Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve. Normally all the family comes to my house but since my house is on the market, we'll be going to my mom's. I'll still be making all the food and transporting it over. so in between watching for Santa, I'll be cutting up veggies
KyAnn
Oh! Serious business, Shelly. The best of luck!
Drinking coffee and getting ready to bake some pies and cookies:) And waiting for santa you know!
Im baking cookies. Yum! Today is my dads birthday so we're getting the day planned. 😉 We thought some surprise christmas cookies were a good way to start. 😉
shadowluvs2read(at)gmail(dot)com
A perfect way to start, Shadow. I can already smell those cookies. Whatever you do, don’t sidetrack Santa to your house before it’s your turn!
I'm awake because I want to get a homework assignment done before the crazy that is involved in cleaning and cooking for Christmas Eve dinner. I'm by myself this year, so I gotta keep a tight leash on time management!
Lexie, you are a strong woman!
ahahaha actually my family thinks i'm just too OCD for my own good. Dad threatened pizza for christmas eve dinner one year because he had to pull a 12 hour shift and I nearly had a heart attack before offering to cook the meal. That was 10 years ago and I'm still the one doing it XD
I always wake up early. I'm enjpying my first cup of coffee.
I took a late nap and still have to go to bed so I can work this evening.
Poor baby! Working on Christmas Eve? Santa needs to bring you a special present.
Woke up early for the Santa Watch of course! And because waking up early all week naturally makes me an early riser on the weekends! My concept of sleeping in now means sleeping without an alarm clock. Bliss!
A woman after my own heart. I know just what you mean, Zee.
My kids are all up already–they seem to wake earlier on non-school days than on the days when they're *supposed* to be up early… *sigh* Well, good morning to everyone!

Isn’t that always the way it goes, Fedora?
Perogies are done. Is it time for eggnog snapps?
Perogies! OMG, I’m coming to your house. Yes, it’s time for snapps! Oh, eggnog, too. heh heh.
Alas, yes! *sigh* Oh well, gotta enjoy each stage of life as it comes 🙂 One of these days, I know I'll be unable to prise them out of bed no matter how hard I try 🙂

Coffee, cinnamon rolls and present wrapping. Let the in begin.
Woo hoo!
I am up so early because I had a hard time sleeping after drinking pepsi way too late at night.
I've been up since 6 this morning trying to put a oil free turkey fryer together without instructions. My dad I think threw them away. Anyway… I figured it out. Merry Christmas! christina_92 at yahoo.com
You’re a better woman than me, Christy. Anything that requires assembly is out of my league.
I've been watching a Doctor Who marathon so I have yet to actually sleep, been wide awake all night. Got some Starbucks though to keep me going.

ROFL. You’re a real soldier, Joder!
I'm preparing to venture out into the wild *cringe* I told myself I wouldn't let it come to this but an unexpected thing came up so here I am. Merry Christmas everyone.
You’re a brave soul, Na!
I'm trying to finish wrapping presents and am starting to make Christmas Eve dinner.
e.balinski(at)att(dot)net
Just wrapping up some last minute gifts… getting some food items ready for tomorrow… Happy Holidays!
Well I didn't get in until after 1 this morning from having Christmas with my son's to be wife and her children. We were at my parents house. Having little one's in the house again was a joy but also tiring. After cleaning up my moms kitchen I made the track home over an hour drive to my house. Didn't fall asleep until after 3:00 a.m. only to be woke up around 5:45 a.m. for the dogs wanting to be let out and fed. So up for that and feeding horses. By the time this is all over I get notice for this Santa watch and figue I will take a nap and look at it later.
So this saying I'm here now and still tired. So going back to take another nap. Merry Christmas everyone.

Theresa, you’re going to need a rest!
Merry Christmas! All wrapped-up and time to make Christmas Eve dinner!
didn't go to bed till 4am (reading) so slept till 1230 — eeek where has the day slipped off to already 😉 will wrap up some last presents before enjoying a quiet evening curled up with a new book 🙂
Reading is ONE good reason not to go to bed. heh heh.
I've just been pretty much relaxing and hanging out today so far. Watching some Christmas movies on TV.

Lucky dog!
Saw Santa last night. So he's started early.
I just ordered a pizza. My brand new red flannel sheets are drying and my husband is still asleep.
Pizza and flannel sheets. Now that’s a party!
My kids woke me up to have breakfast and also to open their Christmas presents that we give to each other. We do this every year and then santa brings presents Christmas morning.
Very cool.
I didn't get up until 10 am. Then, I had to put the final preparations together for the hubby & my holiday breakfast. (I make monkey bread every year & the dough needs to rise.) I fixed our cheese ball and crab dip for our snacking meal tonight. Did two loads of laundry, wrapped up the canine kids' presents and clipped one of the kids' toenails. I'm tired already.
Yeah, but look at all the cool things you’ve done, Kimberly.
Was up early because my Christmas cold is finally getting better…and the feline love of my life wanted Breakfast served post haste.
ROFL. You’re a good mistress, Larisa.
I tried to sleep in…yeah…until about 7. But my Weiner Dog decided she'd nose me in the face. LOL.
ROFL. Wiener dogs are like that, Anna.
I didn't do much. I caught a football game between the two hometown teams.

That’s always a good way to spend Christmas, Jane.
Cooking the food we need to take with us to dinner tomorrow. Later we will be watching A Christmas Carol.
Oh, that’s very nice.
Following Santa all across the globe, drinking hot tea with peppermint and reading a good novel. This is the life!

Anyway, I had a good start with some coffee and logged in to see all my email and check on Santa's Watch. I already cooked a turkey the nite before so today is desert day, pies I will start with first. LOL

I was doing baking and there was still some last minute shopping to be done.
I got up at 6:30 to cook a turkey. The things we do 🙂 Thanks for the awesome prize. christina_92 at yahoo.com
I woke up late..then stayed in the kitchen all day to prep for our Christmas feast 🙂
I was up late reading so did not get up too early, normal time on day off.
I was up all night, so I pretty much slept through the morning. Time is moving too fast, I can’t believe how little time there is ’til Xmas! So much to do…
Just going through all of my emails and checking out the blogs.
