13 Bad Boys Who Make Us Drool
I was thrilled to bring this subject to Coffee Time and ask if I could do it for their Thursday Thirteen feature because I thought it would be fun. It was. I also thought it would be easy. It wasn’t. Narrowing the list down to just thirteen hot, sexy, and totally bad men was no easy task. I’m sure as you read through my list and look at some of the pictures you will wonder if I was stoned when I wrote this. No, I wasn’t, I’m just middle-aged””a fact that will quickly become apparent as you read and look at the pictures I’ve chosen! As such, my list doesn’t necessarily contain the typical men that make up Today’s Hot Hollywood List. Here they are, in no particular order:
James Dean– Born February 8, 1931 — Died September 30, 1955. A classic, he exuded a certain bad boy charm that never lost its innocence or vulnerability. |
Sean Connery–Another classic. The original and still the best ‘James Bond’ ever to grace the silver screen. The one thing about this guy that really kills me is that he just got better and better and better looking as he aged. I’d love to know his secret. |
Mickey Rourke–is still one handsome devil. Even though plastic surgery made him look, well, much less handsome for a long period of time, he never lost that edge and that underlying sexiness that always appealed to women. |
Clint Eastwood–throughout most of my life, if you’re in trouble then this is the guy you call. Whether you’re out on the frontier or being stalked by a serial killer in the city, even if you’re the President of the United States, or just an immigrant trying to get by in a new world. Clint’s your man. He’ll take care of all your troubles and then some. |
Jim Morrison– Born December 8, 1943 — Died July 3, 1971. With the soul of a poet, the to-die-for looks of your classic Rock God, a sexier singer has yet to grace the stages of America’s concert halls. Soulful, unashamed, and most of the time in-your-face, Jim Morrison wrote and performed a major part of the soundtrack that made up my youth. |
Jimi Hendrix– Born November 27, 1942 — Died September 18, 1970. Yes, another self-destructive rock star. But like Jim above, a better guitarist has yet to grace the stages of America’s concert halls. Jimi was the epitome of the Communion with the Muse when he was on stage. Lost in himself, the music, and the cosmos, he wrote another major track of the soundtrack to my youth. |
Rutger Hauer–bad to the bone, this guy wouldn’t hesitate to knock your dick in the dirt and then stomp on it. Smiling the whole time and telling you why you deserved it. Kicked was, he was usually right even when he was the villain we all loved to hate. |
Christopher Walken–I’ll probably get some flack over this one because most people seem to think he’s ookie’ or something. I think he’s handsome and I always have, ever since I first set eyes on him in the “Dead Zone” and he played one of my all-time favorite Stephen King characters ‘Johnny Smith’ I thought he was a knockout. Talented as the day is long and probably one the nicest guys in the world, when plays a demon or King Pin or just your plain old everyday asshole you really believe it. I haven’t met a Christopher Walken movie yet that I didn’t like, even if the flick sucked, he’s always delivered an awesome performance. |
Patrick Swayze– Born August 18, 1952 — Died September 14, 2009. I know, most people remember him from “Ghost” where he wasn’t a bad guy at all. But when I think of him I think “The Outsiders”, “Point Break”, and “Road House”. Ok, maybe a little “Dirty Dancin” as well. Definitely one of the coolest bad boys to ever walk the Earth, he could knock your teeth down your throat and turn around and dance the night away with elegance and grace. |
Colin Farrell–makes the list more for his off-screen life than the characters he portrays. “Phonebooth” is still one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Yes, I know that technically Keiffer Sutherland was the bad guy in the movie but Colin Farrell was definitely the bad boy. He’s hot and sexy, I love his normal speaking voice. I saw previews for the remake of “Fright Night” I knew someone finally found the perfect vampire. The way vampires are supposed to be; hot, sensual, sexual, edgy, and completely lethal on all counts. BUT then I read the reviews (sigh) ok even if it’s NOT all that scary I still gotta see it! |
Robert Downey, Jr.–from Zero to Hero and back again more than once, this guy will always have a soft spot in my heart. He’s handsome and edgy without being overly threatening. A perfect combination.
And, ya know, besides I really want ‘Tony Stark’s’ house! Oh boy do I! LOL |
Charlie Sheen–I have to admit, I fell in love with his father years ago in a little movie called “Sweet Hostage”. He looks so much like Martin Sheen that I can’t help but love Charlie as well. From his small ‘break out’ part in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” to a movie I loathe with all of my being “Platoon” and my favorite sitcom “Two and a Half Men”, he too will always have a favored place in my heart.
Yeah, even if he’s not ‘winning’. |
Kevin Smith– Born March 16, 1963 — Died February 15, 2002. Those of you out there who actually read “The Heart of War” were probably wondering when, or even if, my most favored of favored bad boys was going to make this list. The rest of you are saying to yourselves: Who’s this guy? His portrayal of ‘Ares’ on “Herc” and “Xena” knocked me clean off my feet and it still does. Bad to the bone, sexy as hell, and a wicked sense of humor he is my Ultimate Bad Boy and he always will be. |
I hope you enjoyed my little list and that at least some of your favorite Bad Boys are on it. Step on up and feel free to tell me who I missed! I said at the beginning

Colin Farrell, James Dean, Sean Connery, Robert Downey…*purrrr* I like your list. 🙂 Now, deliver those boys over here. If they are bad boys then they have been naughty… Send them to my room. LOL
Great list! I always use Rutger Hauer's character in Night Hawks as the perfect coldly charming villain. RDJ and Kevin Smith…oh yeah baby.
I am loving this list and though Christopher Walken wouldn't be on MY list of sexy bad boys, He def is an excellent actor and when I see his name in the credits I get a little thrill knowing that at least one character won't suck LoL
Thank you for your hard work in rounding up these hot, hot bad boys- I'm off to write, now that I have a little Inspiration
Kevin Smith is an all time favorite of mine. I'd have Ian Somerhalder in my list too.
If I could send them your way, Virg, I would…well, after I was done with them! LOL!
Nancy–I LOVE Night Hawks!
Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting.
dbmoon-I knew someone was going to say it! LOL I know Christopher Walken isn't your 'classically handsome' guy but there's just something about it. Sort of like Jack Nicholson, not handsome but still sexy! Go figure 🙂
I'm so glad to see that my fave, Kevin Smith, is a favorite of others as well. Damn he was HOT! Like lava, baby!
I'd have to add Rufus Sewell–that gorgeous English actor who looks totally Italian. He's most recently Zen, an Italian Dectective on the Masterpiece Theater series of the same name. Before that he was the Master Builder on Pillars of the Earth and the lover in Dangerous Beauty. Watch out for him. He;s dynamite! Blair
Patrick Swayze will be missed.
