Hagan’s sense of humor is my favorite aspect of this story. He sees the futility of denying his feelings for Emily, and wholly embraces her strength and dominance. What I find harder to follow are the abrupt shifts in conversation and plotting. Hagan and Emily are thoroughly enjoyable characters; which makes their story worth the read.
