The move into Scotland Yard is like walking in a nest of snakes with D.I. Sean Corrigan being cornered by the biggest snake of all. Sean’s career could easily end right here if he does not get the results Assistant Commissioner Addis wants and demands, immediately, if not sooner.

Listening to the voices is the only way to stop the excruciating pain in his head. They tell him he needs to save these beautiful children from a life of thankless parents, whose fat bank accounts are far more important than their families.

With his staff and office in total chaos, Sean is not at his optimal best. Which could mean disaster for the children who have gone missing. Hours bleed into days, with Sean no closer to finding a viable suspect. Even his ability to see beyond the obvious and make connections no one else notices is failing him. He needs to break out of the turmoil in his office, his home, and even his head if he is going to save these children. Unless it is already too late.

Sean is a man dedicated to his work and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. He is no super-hero with a squeaky clean conscience, but a fallible human being who refuses to let bureaucracy stand in his way. As a parent himself, this case hits very hard, really messing with his mind. It is what makes this story such a rush to read, and Sean’s character so incredibly interesting.
