Kaz Genovese is a cheetah shifter visiting Arizona who also happens to be an Olympic runner.
When an old friend of Dillon’s asks him to come to Arizona to investigate what he thinks are shifter killings, Dillon arrives just in time. He can tell right away from the current crime scene that a shifter is the killer, and he is even relatively certain it is a big cat shifter. However, when he meets Kaz and Kaz claims they are true mates, Dillon knows he has to keep his objectivity, because Kaz is the prime suspect. Will he be affected by the mate pull? He thinks not, but finds himself reacting much more strongly to it than he thought he would. When the clues start not adding up, and Dillon figures it out, the true killer attacks him. Will his new true mate get there in time to save him?
I LOVED Speed Dating by J.J. Collins. The world building is interesting, and the characters are just plain fun. Throw in some suspense and a nasty killer and well you have a recipe for a great story! I will definitely be reading more books by this author and can highly recommend this story to anyone who loves m/m romance and shifters!
