Galen is a vampire who barely survived a zombie virus with the help of his lover and fellow vampire Anders.
Anders is Galen’s mate or “pasha.”
Now that Galen survived the zombie virus and he and Anders are mated, the rumor is they can now survive being in the sun without being burned to a crisp. However, Galen is reluctant at first to test the theory. Still he is encouraged by his lover and they both successfully step into the light and feel real sunshine for the first time in years. Of course they then want to experience what lovemaking is like in sunshine which they discover is delightful. Then they wonder what else they can discover.
I enjoyed this interlude in the Battle Scarred series, however, because I have not read the other books in the series, it was obvious to me that I was missing huge pieces of the story line. The sex is delightful and emotional in this story, and I enjoyed this peak into the personalities of Galen and Anders. This a very nice story and those who enjoy m/m romance will enjoy it.
