Hello again fellow readers! It is that time again. The Mistress has let me out of the cellar to play. This month I am learning more about my wonderful coworker Lori. So please sit back, relax, and drink coffee as we get to know her better.
1. How long have you worked for Coffee Time Romance?
2 ½ years
2. What are your duties?
I do book reviews and interviews with authors.
3. What are some of your favorite books?
From a very young age, I got hooked on Jean Auel’s books. The descriptive scenery and vast amounts of information involving that time period just boggled my mind.
4. Who is/are your favorite author(s)?
Too many to count…I have favorites in every genre I like.
5. If you could pick one book that you have read to be turned into a movie which book would it be and why?
I would love to see the dragon series by G.A. Aiken made into a movie or movies, just because the men/dragons in these books are absolutely hysterical. Not to mention drop dead gorgeous!
6. What do you love about being a book reviewer?
Everything!! LOL…it’s true! I love the variety of books I get to read and review. Books I never would have picked off a shelf at the bookstore have been some of my most favorite reads. Some of these authors should be right up there with all of those so called “NY Times Best Sellers”, which in my opinion can be so repetitive that they feel like books-by-numbers.
7. Which state/country do you live in?
Ohio, USA (Good ole Amish country...snicker)
8. If you could travel to any location in the world (maybe even in the galaxy) which dream destination would you choose and why?
Anywhere wide open and maybe a little wild. I have always wanted to go to Australia, and figured if I ever did I might never come home!
9. Some authors write a book and you can just picture yourself in the pages. Which book would you love to be able to jump into and join in on the adventure?
Oh man this is a toughie! I really love the women in the action and suspense books that I read. I would love to possess those skills and that kind of intelligence. So no one book in particular, just a type.
10. Tell the viewers something quirky about you, something that maybe we don’t even know.
I don’t know about quirky…obsessive maybe, but I take my books everywhere! And I do mean everywhere (I have had to hold them out of the way of waves while sitting at the beach, or floating in a pool). If I could figure out a way to read in the shower, I probably would. I feel half naked if I don’t have a book with me, and I’d rather go commando than bookless!
11. How did you end up becoming a book reviewer?
I saw a review done by a CTR reviewer (Cherokee, I think…so thank you very much!!) on a book jacket, and thought… I would love to try this. So I sent an email, and here I am.
12. Do you have any social networks you belong to? Ex.:
MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Not really…don’t have the time to keep up with all of that, and it kind of creeps me out to have my name and info plastered out there for all the world to see.
13. Out of all the different events that Coffee Time hosts each month (CTRR, Book Brew, Tuesday Chats etc) which is your favorite and why?
Probably Tuesday Chat, although I rarely get on it, since I work Tuesday evenings. It is easy going and fun.
14. What has been your best experience with Coffee Time Romance?
Reading all of the amazing books! As well as getting to know people from around the globe.
15. What have you learned most from being a book reviewer?
That there is a TREMENDOUS amount of work that goes into our site, and I have a huge amount of respect and admiration for our fearless leaders. These ladies rock!
16. What type of music do you listen to? What is your favorite song?
I’m not a real big music buff. Top 40’s are fine with me…as long as it’s not a bunch of teeny bopper pop (Mylie Cyrus makes me want to gag!! But so did her daddy…yuck!)
17. What is your favorite movie?
Have always been a huge Trecky fan, but I really don’t see that many movies.
18. What is your favorite genre to read?
The top of my list would probably be erotica, but it seriously has to have a great story line to make it worth reading! Love all those hot sexy men!
19. What do you prefer: printed books or eBooks?
Hmmm…I really have come to love eBooks. They take up so much less space in my house, and I don’t have to dust them!
20. What flavor of Coffee would best describe who you are?
Oh geesh!! (I detest coffee, in any way, shape, or form, shhh…don’t tell anyone at CTR) But if I had to choose, it would have to something slightly sweet and a little spicy….maybe a hot cinnamon coffee, with a little added kick to keep you warm.
Thank you for checking out Lori’s interview! Now for some fun and games. Check out the puzzle below as well as which answers Lori had for this month’s Mad Libs. But don’t laugh to hard otherwise the Mistress will hear you. And that will mean the end of the fun and games for all!
Here is the list of Mad Libs grammar so you can play along if you would like. Then check out Lori’s answers to see what is on her brain. The kinky girl!!! LOL.

Lori had always wanted to be a 1-sweaty spy. She just never expected it to happen. She always considered herself to be a pretty normal 2-lips. But when she was waiting in line to 3-pant in the next election she found herself digging in her 4-wall for the novel she always keeps there for these such occasions. But instead of grabbing her favorite Jean Auel book, Lori 5-touched nothing but a scrap of paper. Opening the paper, she 6-rubbed the note:
Iif you ever want to see your beloved book again, you will call this number (555)555-1111. Do not contact police. Do not tell anyone else or the book will get it!
Gasping in disbelief, Lori shook her 7-legs and tried to think of who would abuse such a great piece of literature. Noticing that she was at the front of the line, she quickly went through and picked her politician to win. Leaving the building, Lori quickly ran to her 8-guy and started it up. She knew who was behind this vile attack on her property. The 9-hard twerp was always trying to one up her. But she was too smart for him.
Getting back home, she slammed through the door and stormed up the 10-eyes. Pounding on her brother’s 11-body, she didn’t wait for him to answer, just 12-lusted right in. Seeing her novel laying haphazardly on his bed, she screamed his name at the top of her lungs. When Prince Alex came into his room trying to look all innocent, she felt like kicking his 13-chest. Instead, she grabbed her book and said between clenched teeth, “if you ever touch my property again, I will tell mom about all the times you have tormented my fellow coworkers at Coffee Time Romance and you will not be allowed to play with them anymore. Got it?!” Satisfied that she had scared the 14-scarf off of him, she slammed the door and settled down to read her beloved book. Once again, all was right in the world!
