Coffee Time Romance & More

How long have you worked for Coffee Time Romance?

I've been with Coffee Time Romance for a little over 2 years now.

What are your duties?

I started out at the CTR forums as a moderator (which I still do) and then I started helping with keeping track of the reviews.

What are some of your favorite books?

I read paranormals and urban fantasy the most whether they are for adults or teens; however I read many other sub-genres of romance. My theory is I'll read anything once and if I like it I'll go back for more. LOL!

Who is/are your favorite author(s)?

Keri Arthur, Patricia Briggs, Yasmine Galenorn, Charlaine Harris, Annette Blair, Kate Douglas, Katie MacAlister, Mary Janice Davidson just to name a few (I have a LONG list of authors).

If you could pick one book that you have read to be turned into a movie which book would it be and why?

That's a tough decision. Usually books that are turned into movies aren't always as good as the books themselves. With that said, I think I'd have to choose Witchling by Yasmine Galenorn. There is just so much action in her books along with an excellent story that I think it would hold its own as a movie.

Which state/country do you live in?

Florida, United States

If you could travel to any location in the world (maybe even in the galaxy) which dream destination would you choose and why?

Ireland! Most of my heritage is Irish and I've always wanted to go there to see where my family once lived. It's also a beautiful and majestic place to me with all the rolling green fields.

Some authors write a book and you can just picture yourself in the pages. Which book would you love to be able to jump into and join in on the adventure?

Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series. I just love the whole story line. It sucked me in from the first word.

Tell the viewers something quirky about you something that maybe we don’t even know.

About five years ago you wouldn't have caught me reading a book. I had been made to read and do book reports for school, so it made me not want to. A book had to be really good to make me read it and there were a few, but not that many.

While you don't do book reviews you do work with the reviews. How did this come about?

Like I mentioned before I was a moderator for the CTR forums and I was asked if I wanted to help out with the reviews since I don't always have time to read because I have a child with an autistic spectrum disorder and he's a handful at times.

Do you have any social networks you belong to? Ex.: MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, etc etc.

I have accounts with MySpace, Facebook and Twitter (though I don't always tweet things).

Out of all the different events that Coffee Time hosts each month (CTRR, Book Brew, Tuesday Chats, etc etc) which is your favorite and why?

I like the Book Brew with the Coffee Crew and Claudine's Sweet Treats on Tuesday. The book brew is great because you get to learn a little about books from different sub-genres of romance and find new authors. Claudine's Sweet Treats gives you all the new book releases for different publishing companies whether they be online publishers to print publishers.

What has been your best experience with Coffee Time Romance?

Meeting new people from all over.

What have you learned most from being a book reviewer?

There are a lot of great eBooks out there that I never knew before.

What type of music do you listen to? What is your favorite song?

I'm eclectic in my choices of music. I listen to anything from classic rock to classical and just about everything in between. My favorite music is the 80's hair bands. It reminds me of my teen years and the fun I had. Hey, don't knock it. There was some really good music to come out of that time. LOL! I don't think I could pick a favorite song really because I have way too many that I love.

What is your favorite movie?

Too many to name on the movies too, so I'll say The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Harry Potter movies and the Underworld trilogy.

What is your favorite genre to read?

Isn't this question the same as number 3? LOL. Just to answer again I love paranormal and urban fantasy. They are my favorites.

What do you prefer: printed books or eBooks?

I go back and forth on this. I love printed books. There's nothing like holding a book in your hand, turning the pages and getting that new book smell with every page turn. At the same time I love eBooks because you get instant gratification when you buy the book where as if you by a book online from one of the sellers you have to wait to have it shipped. I own a Sony PRS 505 and I can load up my eBooks on a memory card pop it in the reader and go anywhere and have multiple books at my finger tips.

What flavor of Coffee would best describe who you are?

Hazelnut because it's got a smooth flavor and I'm pretty easy going.
