SF1I’m a romance author and I love Valentine’s Day and all the trimmings. Cards, jewelry, flowers, and chocolate. Cute coffee mugs with teddy bears. Oh, I love stuffed animals! But this year, I don’t want any of those things. Not even the chocolate. Well, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE chocolate, my favorite is Dove dark chocolate <hint hint> but this year none of those things are on my radarscope, and  I can be very focused when I put my mind to it. And that goes for anything.

This year I have some very specific goals for myself. Here they are in not any particular order: SF2

  • Go to Nationals in NYC. Already pricing travel and accommodations.
  • Lose weight and get fit. Hey, I entered the RITA’s this year with my two books, The Crystal Slipper and Like A Bad Penny. I want to look good at the Awards Banquet. I happen to have this great dress in my closet, now all I have to do is fit into it.
  •  Pay off my personal debt. Our church is having classes on how to live debt free, and I admit the idea is very appealing. So, no frivolous spending for us this year.

SF3While I’d love to receive flowers, jewelry, and chocolate this year, I’m quite content to work on my goals. But…that doesn’t mean YOU have to do without. In honor of Valentine’s Day, I am giving away some bling! I love working with beads. The lucky winner will receive the handmade pair of red earrings. Don’t forget to include your email address!

So play our scavenger hunt game, and good luck! You can find my clue here.
