Need…my…coffee
Hello! It's just noon here in SoCal but I'm not a morning person and I'm on my third cup of coffee, just waking up. The weather is warm. I'm winding down from a busy week so it's nice to have a chance to sit and blog with you.

I completely agree with you that we judge others too quickly, Kimberly, and especially on appearances. That isn't the same thing as trusting our instincts!
Charlotte's character, as I first wrote her years ago, inspired this book. She was always quiet and reflective, and she loved to write. Her goal had been to chronicle the family history, but the more she learned about her relatives, their scandals, and love affairs that ended in solid marriages, the more she felt that the romance was passing her by.
With no suitors in sight, she began to invent a passionate affair in her diary between her and the duke.
