Introducing Jennifer Lynne
Thank you to Coffee Thoughts for having me here today. I love coffee – making one is the first thing I do every morning after I've pushed the "on" button on my laptop. Strong, black and two sugars is how I like it. And it has to be good coffee, not any old bean! My family calls me a coffee snob and, well, yeah. I am! Anyone read Cleo Coyle's Coffee House mysteries? If you love coffee, they are worth it!
So, who am I? I'm an author of sensual and erotic romance, first published by Red Sage in 2009, about to be published by Breathless Press, and recently independently published, too. I have a day job in medical admin, two teenage children, two young adult stepchildren, and am looking forward to getting married later this year to my lovely partner of 7 years. I live in Melbourne, Australia, and most of my stories are set here where I live.
An Australian beach setting for Platinum Passion
Is Australia an exotic location in your eyes? To me, it's just home, though I must admit that my country is so vast there are many pockets of it that I would call exotic. Kakadu in the Northern Territory, the outback and the Great Barrier Reef in north Queensland, for example. My current menage erotic romance release, Platinum Passion (Gods of Love #1), is set on a beach in far north Queensland (similar to the one in the picture) and in my eyes that definitely qualifies as exotic.
Today I'll be posting an excerpt from Platinum Passion, and also my Red Sage paranormal erotic romance Pandora's Gift, as well as an exciting FIRST EVER excerpt of my upcoming release from Breathless Press – my older woman/younger man sensual romance, Educating Ethan. That excerpt is not even up on my own website yet!
One commenter on any of my posts here today will win a digital copy of one of my current release titles (winner's choice) – Platinum Passion, Pandora's Gift or the erotic romance anthology, Secrets Volume 28 which contains my contemporary novella, Seducing Serena.

Just waving hi, Jennifer! As an American, I definitely count Australia as one of the "exotic" locations on my list of places to visit! :) I've had the pleasure of seeing parts of Asia and a wee bit of Europe, but there so much of this big world I haven't seen yet, and look forward to! Congrats on your series–it sounds lovely! And best wishes with your upcoming wedding–what a lovely event to anticipate!
Hi Jennifer,
You're right. There are parts of Australia that I'd consider exotic for their unspoilt nature. For me Africa is exotic although I class it as home too.
Congratulations on your upcoming book release. I look forward to reading your book excerpts.
Cheers,
Kiru
this sounds like a fabulous book Jennifer! good luck and here is to many sales for you!
I've been to some pretty exotic places including having lived in Istanbul for nearly 3 years but Austrialia is somewhere I do want to visit!
Liz
Thanks Fedora! And waving hello back
Hi Kiru, Africa for me is definitely on my holiday list. So many different parts of the continent that appeal.
Thanks Liz! Let me know if you come to Melbourne – we have great beer here
Hi Jennifer,
As a new member of IRKink, I'd like to extend a hearty Congratulations to you! You have so many exciting things going on right now–a wedding and a new series. Does it get any better than that?
Hubby and I will be visiting your wonderful country next year on a cruise and we're looking forward to tasting some of the incrediblel wines they produce in your wine region. I don't know if our ship will sail to Melbourne, but I do promise to wave when we pass by.
I love exotic locations when I read a romance. Might never get nearer to Australia than your books!
Australia definitely sounds exotic to this Canuck! But I don't know if I'd be up to the gruelling flight to see it for myself. Maybe I could see it via IMAX theatre? ,-)
I'll be looking forward to your excerpts, particularly from Educating Ethan.
Exotic is anyplace I'm not! LOL I feel an attack of Shaggy Dog Syndrome coming on. If you open the car door, I'll jump in!
Loved Platinum Passion, and I'll take any beach with Pothos on it!
Australia seems to have so many pretty beaches. My friend was there and the pictures she brought back are fantastic.
The Great Barrier Reef should count as exotic even to people who live within walking/swimming distance.
Definitely. I'd consider Australia an exotic place to visit. Don't know if I'll ever get there, but I'd like to. Hubby and I have lived in the south, east, and mid-west U.S. as well as Hawaii. We've traveled to various European/Mediterranean spots as well. So maybe one day…
Love that you're a coffee snob. My favorite cuppa is tea and I'm getting more snobbish about the taste every day.
Congrats on your pending nuptials and your books!
Thanks so much for your kind comments, everyone!
Caryolyn, I'll be waving as your cruise ship goes past!
LOL Maggie
Norah, I know – it's such a long flight. Always a major trip wherever we choose to go.
Roz, thank you!
Na, while I don't live near the beach myself, it isn't far away and we sometimes drive down and have dinner on the sand after work, and watch the sun go down. Only in summer though – winter here is very cold and wet!
I agree Amber, the Barrier Reef is amazing.
Annie, my mother is a tea snob!
