good morning-ish, readers!

Hi, my name is Martha Moody, author of Sometimes Mine (recent and my favorite) and and The Office of Desire (my grief book, but some people love it) and Best Friends (my big seller, now “old”).  I’m in Dayton Ohio where I live with my husband of 25 years, Martin Jacobs, and four lovable and nerdy rascal sons, ages 15 to 21. (Actually two of the sons are off in college, but right now they are home and always asking what they are eating next.)

I am not good at computers and I am scared to death that I’ll punch something and all this will disappear, so I’m going do this in small steps.

I’ll be around all day and I’m happy to answer questions.  I just learned that the blogging director of this site, Karenne, is on the West Coast, which I am somehow surprised at, which shows you how computer-unsavvy I am.

Here are the covers of my books  (in a moment, I will post this and then work on adding them.)  Fear in the morning….

Hiya! I’m a trial and error girl myself. Self taught is how I like to phrase it. I have crashed several computers, made many mistakes, and learned a lot on the way. I approach my life and my writing in much the same way. Learning=growing and I’m all about new growth.

For example I’ve been laboring over my first veggie garden and yesterday I came out to water, and my beautiful Chives were eaten down to little stubs by some vile critter (I suspect a family of racoons). Heartbreak city, but now I know to better protect my green babies.

Any way, Martha, I look forward to future posts from you. Keep on keepin on!

    Much love!

    Jocelyn Modo

It is funny once you get to know our crazy little family. We are spread out all over the world. Yet, there are days we chat together like we live right next door to one another. That’s the main reason I love the internet as much as I do. It makes the world a little smaller.
You are doing a fantastic job so far. I just finished reading all of your posts. Now, my husband is shooting me dirty looks because I’ve added more books to my TBB (to be bought) list.
It is a pleasure meeting you!

thanks for the encouragement, Jocelyn! I am getting the hang of blogging a bit now. I’m sorry about your chives, although raccoons–excuse me for saying so– are pretty darn cute! Not to you, I bet. Marti

And also a pleasure to meet you, Kimberley. And I know those dirty looks! Marti
