V. Lyn – Crazy Words

Sins of Lust 200GIVEAWAY: I’d like to give away a digital book of Perceived Love. To be in the running, just comment on one of my post today. I write m/m contemporary and paranormal romance, so if that’s to your liking then I look forward to reading your post!

Sins of Lust is my newest paranormal book set in the fantasy worlds of Caelestia and Taelestia – both heavenly realms where angels reside. I created a glossary of terms based on Latin roots and languages.

Caelestia is the heavenly city where the archangels and Hierarchia reside. I came up with the city name by taking the Latin word for celestial – caelestis – “heavenly, pertaining to the sky” and replacing some letters to make my own word.

I named the devil, Deofol, from an Old English word meaning “evil spirit, a devil, the devil, false god, diabolical person” because I thought it sounded cool. When it came to naming the oracles I used the Latin term – vox. For God’s oracle I added dei after vox – Vox Dei – L.L. deificus “god-making, sacred” and for the Deofol’s oracle I added dia taken from L.L. diabolus – Vox Dia.

I had so much fun making up names for the buildings and professions and everything in between. You can read my glossary of terms on my website – just click on the Sins of Love book cover on the side bar at my website.

Happy Reading!

Edgy, erotic, sexy man-love romance. That’s what gets me going in the morning! Once I wrote my first gay romance, I was hooked. Now I get to write about two sexy men as my heroes instead of one. How fun is that! What inspires me - the reality that romance between lovers is a hope more than a guarantee. My stories are an eclectic mix of contemporary and paranormal, but it is always romance that drives the story to its final happily-ever-after.

The world-building is what always intrigues me about fantasy and paranormal books…I love the sound of this one!

I agree with you Trix. It’s fun writing paranormal because I can take myths and ancient history and mix it up to create something new. Again, it’s the creative process which is intriguing and fun.
