Sins of Lust is my newest paranormal book set in the fantasy worlds of Caelestia and Taelestia – both heavenly realms where angels reside. I created a glossary of terms based on Latin roots and languages.
Caelestia is the heavenly city where the archangels and Hierarchia reside. I came up with the city name by taking the Latin word for celestial – caelestis – “heavenly, pertaining to the sky” and replacing some letters to make my own word.
I named the devil, Deofol, from an Old English word meaning “evil spirit, a devil, the devil, false god, diabolical person” because I thought it sounded cool. When it came to naming the oracles I used the Latin term – vox. For God’s oracle I added dei after vox – Vox Dei – L.L. deificus “god-making, sacred” and for the Deofol’s oracle I added dia taken from L.L. diabolus – Vox Dia.
I had so much fun making up names for the buildings and professions and everything in between. You can read my glossary of terms on my website – just click on the Sins of Love book cover on the side bar at my website.
