Emma has led a sheltered life the past few years and has no plans for that changing, let alone falling in love. But when she finds a journal near Honey Creek Lake, she cannot keep from reading it. She soon finds herself relating to the words of a stranger and opening up to those around her.
Nicholas is kicking himself for losing his grandfather's journal and hopes it has not fallen into the wrong hands. He does not want to face the embarrassment of the thoughts he has written down in there since he has left for Iraq years before.
What both Nicholas and Emma do not know is each other's story. When they each let their guard down, will they find out the journal has fallen into the right hands? Or will this be the end of something before it has a chance to bloom?
What a great story of hurt transforming into something much bigger and better–Love. This is a great pick-me-up read for anytime. Emma and Nicholas each have had their hard times in life, but make a truly wonderful couple. This author paints Honey Creek as a place where anyone would love to live a small town life. I know I certainly am ready to pack my bags and head there.
