Lexi is an attractive teacher’s aide from Florida. She has always wanted to go to England where her great-grandfather was born. She is not very successful with men, being a bit shy around them at first.
Raedwald is over a thousand years old, a werewolf, and the former King of Anglia. He and his men fight evil werewolves every night. Women are a temporary pleasure since mortals tend to age and die and he does not.
A near accident brings Lexi and Raed together. The attraction is immediate and intense unlike anything either has felt before. Raed’s wolf is even drawn to her. His new weakness does not go unnoticed by Fenris’ werewolves, and they are determined to destroy Raed and his men by using Lexi.
Ms. Chenery’s wolves have always been among my favorites, and she has truly outdone herself in this story. Raed’s attitude can be from the Dark Ages at times, but so is he, and Lexi takes no guff from either him or his men. The romance between the two of them is fast moving and hot. The plot is full of action, both romantic and otherwise, and I really hated to see it end. On the up side, the rest of Raed’s men are equally magnetic, and I look forward to their stories, hopefully to follow quickly.
