The city of London holds great appeal for Henry Garrett; where he is able to indulge in certain things that he cannot find on his quiet little estate in the country. But when duty calls, Henry must return home; to the tedium of doing what is expected of a man in his position.
He noticed the man on that lonely dark road, and Gabriel could not help himself. He had to follow.
Still shaken from whatever was tracking him in the woods, Henry is quite relieved to find and inn nearby, and one that is willing to accommodate his needs. However the young man he meets that night turns out to be more than he bargained for. Gabriel is like nothing and no one Henry has ever known, and he is becoming increasingly dependent on having him around. The attraction and desire these two men share is heady and strong, but Gabriel bears a secret that could get them both killed.
Wild and willful is the best way to describe Gabriel, and I love how he and Henry play off of each other’s needs. Henry could easily feel like a lesser man, but when he takes Gabriel in hand, he shows a determination and strength that he seems to suppress around everyone else. Ms. Plowman’s characters are dangerously sexy, and her storyline really keeps you guessing. But it is the underlying feeling of danger that runs between Henry and Gabriel that I really love, and just like Henry, the more you get, the more you want.
