Emma Larnex feels like she has a pretty normal boring life. She is not popular, in fact, many of her classmates dislike her. So she is confused yet happy when handsome new student, Viper, seems to want to spend time with her instead of the other girls.
All at once it seems Emma's world changes into chaos. She soon finds the life she has been living is a lie. Then she has a huge role in another lifetime in a whole other world. This world is one she has never seen or heard about before. She is a Dragonfly.
This whole new world is on the brink of war and it seems that Emma's role in helping stop the destruction is a huge one. Yet besides herself, who is she to trust? Plus, having to learn new capabilities of having dragonfly wings makes things even more confusing.
A tale of two strange worlds is what you will find between the pages of Winged. Definitely something that will make you want to look at your hum-drum life twice. Although I sometimes felt myself getting lost following the story, I enjoyed the overall adventure that became Emma's life, and cannot help but wonder if there will be more to this world in the future?
