Joanna Webb has always loved Nature, more so after the way her father hunted for sport rather than food. She spends her days fighting for wildlife and its habitat. She is shocked when she realizes she has an attraction to Ryan Stuart, an enemy to all she believes in.
As the son of a very successful construction man, Ryan has spent his life working for the family building company. When he meets Joanna, he is taken by her from the start even if she does hate everything about his life.
Despite her better judgment, Joanna finds herself agreeing more and more to spending time with Ryan. As her feelings for him increase, she worries about how they could ever be together. When her car explodes and nearly kills her, Ryan runs from her, blaming himself for the attack.
Both Joanna and Ryan had to face difficult times as children and neither came away from it undamaged. Ryan believes he killed his brother, so when Joanna is injured, he feels this is also his fault. Ms Hunter takes us on an emotional rollercoaster ride as both these intricate characters find their way into the light and learn to heal together.
