WIFE BY WEDNESDAY
Rating: 4 Cups
Samantha Elliott owns Alliance, a matchmaking business. The business is doing well, but the high cost of specialized care for her mentally disabled younger sister is very expensive. Sam lives frugally so her sister can continue to receive top-notch care.
There is a significant deadline that Blake Harrison is determined to meet no matter what. A fantastically wealthy jet-setter, Blake’s business interests keep him exceptionally busy. He has no shortage of willing and available lady friends, but now, circumstances are such that he must find the perfect temporary wife in just a few days, and time is ticking away.
Blake contacts the owner of Alliance to find the perfect solution to his dilemma, thinking Sam Elliott to be a no-nonsense, business man. He is surprised to find Samantha, instead. Still, she convinces him her business plan is sound, and has already vetted three beautiful and imminently qualified candidates.
This book is fun to read. The chemistry between Sam and Blake just oozes between every line; both are likeable, charismatic people who are not afraid to take risks, and who prefer honesty to head games. I enjoyed the book mostly, I think, because the emotions seemed so real to me. It was easy for me to get caught up in the story and I quickly became invested in the outcome, pulling for Sam and Blake to find the happily-ever-after they both deserve.
