Rachel Jessop loves her job at Department 6, a private security company. But six months ago she did something that compromised her work affability with her boss.
Nate Ferrentino knows that Rachel is uncomfortable with how things were left the morning after. To tell the truth, he is a little uncomfortable as well but his reasons are due to the memory of soft hands, soft skin, and a wild time followed by three fateful words.
Nate and Rachel must put aside their uneasiness with one another and work together as husband and wife to infiltrate a cult. The religious zealots have been rumored to have gone as far as stoning a woman and possibly murdering another. It is not hard for them to get inside. But when the leader of the cult takes a shine to Rachel there is a big chance they will not get out of there alive.
The charisma between Nate and Rachel crackles from the first page, giving the reader a glimpse at the conflict to come further in the story. White Heat is full of passion, adventure, mystery, and red hot action that practically singe your fingertips as the pages are turned. There were so many different characters within this bold tale that it makes the reader more intrigued to see where the storyline is heading. The courageous way Rachel holds her own even when she feels things are turning against them made me want to stand up and cheer for the way she faced her adversaries. Whether you are a fan of steamy passion, intense action, or a book that will keep your attention, Brenda Novak has made sure to catch the reader from beginning to end.
