Abby Winchell is a tall, beautiful redhead. She works as an insurance adjuster in Phoenix and is very close to her rather eccentric grandfather in Oregon.
Roarke Wallace is a professor of Anthropology at NYU and an expert in crypto-zoology. He hides his movie star good looks under professorial clothing, but still stands out in a crowd. He is also a werewolf from a very prominent family both in the were and the mundane world.
Abby is in Oregon to support her grandfather, Earl Dooley. He claims to have seen and photographed a mated pair of Sasquatches in the woods near his general store. The unwanted attention has alarmed his neighbor, Cameron Gentry, the local werewolf alpha. Gentry calls in outside help in the form of noted crypto-zoologist Dr. Roarke Wallace to debunk and humiliate the old man, but Abby is very protective of Earl and determined to help him realize his dream of seeing Bigfoot up close.
Cameron Gentry is a fine villain with few redeeming traits. Hopefully, he will get his comeuppance in a future novel. Abby and Roarke are easy to get to know, and their chemistry is very intense from the beginning, no matter how hard they fight it. The setting is perfect for both the main plot, and the subplot of the wandering Sasquatch.
If you are looking for a romance with humor and an unusual paranormal twist, this is the book for you. This novel really has it all–a fascinating plot filled with hot love scenes and edge of your seat suspense, appealing and unique characters with witty dialogues. I am on my way to buy the first book of the series right now.
