Paranormal Erotic Romance
Rating: 4 Cups
Lorelei Allemande is a famous ballet dancer and now a fugitive. She is small, delicate and beautiful. Her gift is to be very nimble, but injuries are more intense to her than to a normal person.
Dekon Warrick Martine, War to his friends, is the Sheriff of his small town and a werewolf. Attracted to Lorelei, he is confused and annoyed by her relationship to his nephew, Ren. War is large, handsome and forceful, as an Alpha werewolf should be.
Sheriff Martine is protective of those in his small Louisiana town, especially his family. He is keeping an eye on the new dance teacher in town. She has a suspicious relationship with War’s nephew, and War does not like secrets. Ren and Lorelei’s secret is very important and dangerous to them. Someone wants to use them and their DNA in experiments, and they are in hiding. War’s unexpected attraction to Lorelei can result in her death or her salvation.
I loved this story several years ago when I read it first, and it has not lost any of its appeal. Lorelei and War have a very rocky romance in the beginning since they are such different people. The underlying sense of imminent danger adds to the tension. Ren and Lorelei’s secret relationship sparks many rumors, so innuendos and War’s jealous reactions add even more drama. There is an interesting twist at the end of the story, and I am looking forward to reading more about Ren.
