When he was a senior, Rob was confused about his sexuality. He became even more so after an intense passionate encounter with his friend, Michael.
Michael knows he is gay and he has kept his feelings for Rob to himself. When he finally gets the chance to explore his lust, he finds it has created a crevice between Rob and himself.
Ten years have passed since Rob turned away from Michael and all he felt for his friend. When he sees him again in his domination playground, Rob vows to show Michael exactly how comfortable he is with his sexuality. Will Michael open his heart to the man who captured it so long ago, only to throw it away? Or is it too late for Rob to prove once and for all that he is the best thing for Michael?
Velvet Memories was a good story with a solid background. I liked how Ms. Summers built the tale from the ground up, giving us the basis of the tale and how Michael and Rob came to be the way they were. I really got a feeling of how hard it was for Rob to admit his sexuality while in high school, but I also understood how hurt Michael was when Rob turned away from him. This is a novel that will hit you in all the right spots.
