Trey walks away from the mate destiny made his, but it leaves him a shell of a man. A weak alpha. Sadie would save his soul and his pack, but first they must all accept her and lay down archaic prejudices.
Sadie has always allowed Trey to deal her an emotional blow she is unsure she can recover from. He is offering her everything. She needs him. She can stand and fight or run and hide, both of which put her in great danger and she has never been one to hide.
History is due to repeat itself. If the species is to survive, they must band together. Trey needs Sadie. To keep her, he must prove to her he has made a mistake and hope her love for him is still alive. Without her, there is no reason to fight or go on. The chapters of history are unfolding. Trey and Sadie?s chapter is important for the outcome.
Vampire Mine is a wonderful story, which is a chapter in the preparation for a historical battle on the horizon. Each book of the series is a piece of the puzzle whose outcome is undetermined. The characters are fascinating. The struggle for survival occurred on several levels. From the one occurring between the hero and heroine and radiates out to each member of the pack from the inner circle out. The storyline is interesting, entertaining and keeps readers on their toes. Vampire Mine is a beautiful love story and Ms. Hunter brings the characters to life.
