Jenny returns to her hometown with her tail between her legs, regretting what her life has become. She is determined to put her ex-husband and regrets in the past until the day evil settles over her town and her ex-husband appears asking for another chance.
Jeff is not only desperate but also regrets the decisions he has made in his life. Wishing for a second chance, he agrees to help Jenny figure out what is going on in their small town.
Jenny returns to the safety of home only to realize home is not what it once was. Her alcoholic Mom has left her Dad, and he is looking rather ill in recent days. Little does she know true evil has dug itself into the little town and is unwilling to leave. At first she is sure her ex-husband is evil until she realizes true evil exists and has a plan. Two worlds are about to collide with Jenny and those she loves standing in the path.
Kathryn Meyer Griffith writes a story straight out of a nightmare. Her characters are authentic and scary for the evilness she creates in them. I was scared to read the next chapter but knew I would never rest until I found out how it all comes out. Vampire Blood is well worth the read, and Ms. Griffith is an author I will keep an eye on.
